The Importance of Strength Training as We Age

The importance of strength training cannot be overstated no matter the age or level you are starting at. Our bodies are created to be put under stress, that’s how we grow and become stronger. If you are not growing and becoming stronger then your declining and becoming weaker.

As humans we were not meant to be stagnant in our movement nor in any other places in our life. We need these healthy stressors in our life to keep a good balance. When we age we will begin to naturally lose muscle mass and bone density. This can be drastically improved just by adding some strength training.

Studies have proven that regular strength training helps improve joint mobility and stability, enhance overall health and can reduce the risk of chronic diseases. So to conclude, I’d say your at risk not adding strength training to your weekly routine!

Regular strength training can help to reduce the risk of chronic diseases, improve joint mobility and flexibility, and enhance overall fitness and health.
